Course Description

Intermediate Academic English: This course taught in an integrated manner; all skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) will build upon through activities that blend different components of each. The fundamentals of this course include the practice of various modes of writing, such as formulating argumentative, informative/explanatory, narrative, and summarized texts. The course also incorporates the direct instruction of particular English language skills and techniques. Students will conduct studies that will require the analysis of resources and accurate interpretations of both literary and informational texts. This course will enhance students’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, as well as the overall fluidity of their use of English.
